
Edvard Sargsyan
Edvard Sargsyan was born on October 4, 2006, in Stepanakert, Artsakh. He began his musical journey at the Stepanakert Music School after Komitas, where he studied piano under Marine Hakhnazaryan. His education continued at the Stepanakert Music College after Sayat-Nova with Karine Harutyunyan, before moving to Yerevan to study at the Romanos Melikyan State Music College under Professor Georgy Avanesov.
Since 2025, he has been pursuing his studies at the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas, continuing under Professor Avanesov’s guidance.Edvard has already gained recognition through competitions, including First Prize at the Renaissance Competition-Festival (2019), Third Prize at AGBU Discovers Talents (2023), and the Bronze Medal at the Arno Babajanyan VIII International Competition-Festival for Young Pianists (2025).
He has participated in masterclasses with Sontraud Speidel and Cédric Pescia, further enriching his artistry.
As a performer, Edvard has appeared on stage with the Artsakh State Chamber Orchestra (conductor Gevorg Muradyan) and taken part in festivals such as On the Banks of the Neva in Saint Petersburg and the Zartonk Festival in Stepanakert. His performances have been heard at the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum, Komitas National Chamber Music Hall, and the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall.
Since 2024, Edvard has been a proud participant in the “Born in Artsakh” educational program, which supports young displaced musicians in continuing their professional education and artistic growth, and a scholarship holder of the DIALOG organization within the program.
Beyond music, he enjoys puzzle games and watching football.
